Meet the Scholarship Winners

Kiera Rountree, a PGY-1 resident at Prisma Health in Greenville, SC, is from Portsmouth, VA. She holds a Biology degree from Hampton University and earned both her MBA in Healthcare Management and PharmD from High Point University. Passionate about health equity, she has held leadership roles including SNPhA Chapter President, Region I Facilitator, and Class President. With experience in retail and hospital pharmacy, Kiera aspires to be a clinical ambulatory care pharmacist. She enjoys reading, baking, and traveling.

Dr. Bathsheba Teshome earned her PharmD and a Master’s in Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine from Shenandoah University. She is originally from Arlington, VA, and holds a BS in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech. During pharmacy school, she was involved in research, held leadership roles in multiple student organizations, and organized community outreach events. She will begin her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital this summer, with clinical interests in infectious diseases, cardiology, transplant, and pharmacogenomics.
